Mélodie Saumur Music

Classically trained singer and musician dedicated to serving the Church through music in the Ottawa Valley. I provide vocal music for Masses, weddings, funerals, and other sacred celebrations, as well as music ministry services and custom musical arrangements tailored to each parish, ensemble, or occasion.

About Me

I have been studying piano and voice through the Royal Conservatory from a young age and continue to pursue advanced studies in voice, harmony, and music history. As a classically trained singer, I have participated in numerous music festivals, competitions, choirs, and musical theatre production. My musical experience extends beyond performance. I have experience teaching both voice and piano, directing choirs, transcribing music, and creating arrangements in a variety of styles. My arranging work ranges from adapting existing scores and lead sheets, adding or simplifying harmonies, to transforming music from one style into another or developing arrangements entirely from the ground up.I am passionate about music in all its forms, but my primary focus is now on serving the Church through music. I have experience in liturgical music, vocal performance, keyboard accompaniment for my own singing, and choral music, and I enjoy creating music that is both beautiful and practical for the people performing it.As a vocalist, I sing in English, French, Latin, German, Spanish, and Italian, and I particularly enjoy exploring the musical and expressive qualities of different languages and traditions.
